Firestone Gold Pledge Limited Warranty
Coverage
Every new Firestone passenger and light truck tire bearing the Firestone name, purchased and fitted to any vehicle on or after January 1, 2001, is covered by Firestone's Gold Pledge Limited Warranty, against any manufacturing defect in workmanship and materials.
Making a Claim
If, before the earliest of (i) the original usable tread wearing down to 2/32nds of an inch remaining tread, (ii) 3 years from the date of purchase (original proof of purchase showing purchase date required) or (iii) 4 years from the date of manufacture, a Firestone tire covered by this warranty becomes unserviceable for any reason within the manufacturer's control, such tire will be replaced with a comparable Firestone tire free of charge, excluding applicable taxes and disposal fees.
After the free replacement period: If, before the earliest of (i) wearing down to 2/32nds of an inch of tread depth remaining (i.e. worn down to the top of the tread depth indicators), (ii) 5 years from date of purchase (original proof of purchase showing purchase date required), or (iii) 6 years from date of manufacture, any Firestone tire covered by this warranty becomes unserviceable for any reason within the manufacturer's control, such tire will be replaced with a comparable tire upon payment of the prorated replacement price.
The prorated replacement cost will be calculated by multiplying the current adjustment base price of the tire, in effect at the time of the adjustment, by the percentage of usable tread worn*.
The original purchase invoice and the unserviceable tire must be presented to an authorized Firestone dealer at time of claim.
(*Percentage of usable tread worn is determined from the prorated chart in Firestone's Suggested Retail Price List)
